Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) is the residual heavy oil remaining after gasoline and diesel oil extraction from crude oil, also known as “residual fuel oil.” It possesses characteristics such as a large molecular weight and high viscosity. Due to its semi-fluid consistency, HFO requires preheating to make it combustible in engines.
Classification of HFO Generator Sets:
1. According to usage, HFO generator sets can be categorized into Standard HFO generator sets and Containerized HFO generator sets.
2. According to the operating environment, HFO generator sets can be classified into Stationary HFO generator sets and Marine HFO generator sets.
3. According to engine speed, HFO generator sets can be classified into medium-speed HFO generator sets (speed ≥1000 r/min) and low-speed HFO generator sets (speed less than 400 r/min).
